Here are the different sizes of cellos which
can and will vary from region to region,
style to style, craftsman to craftsman, and
period to period with their corresponding back lengths:
1/8 size: 17 to 20 inches cello back length.
1/4 size: 20 to 23 inches cello back length.
1/2 size: 23 to 26 inches cello back length.
3/4 size: 26 to 27.5 inches cello back length.
4/4 size: 27.5+ and above full size
